About the Rich Message Studio

This topic relates to Whispir’s Rich Message Studio (not to Whispir’s ‘classic’ messaging).

The Rich Message Studio allows you to create high quality, rich content messages and templates for the Mobile (SMS messaging), Email, Web, Social and Custom channels. (The Voice channel is not available for messages created in the Rich Message Studio.) The content is built using a range of template components (such as text, images, buttons, maps and videos players).

What you can do in the Rich Message Studio

The Rich Message Studio provides a range of flexible options for creating and saving templates, creating and sending messages, and saving template components to the Components Library for reuse. You can also preview the content as it would appear on a mobile device or desktop computer.

Options for creating and saving a template

  • Find and open a ready-made template in Whispir's Template Library, edit its content and features to suit your needs and save it under a new name.
The new template is saved to the workspace’s My Templates page, and the original template remains unchanged.
  • Find and open a template that you or other users have already saved to the workspace’s My Templates page, and then:
    • Save it under a new name and edit its content and features to suit your needs
      or
    • Save it with the same name, creating a new version of the template. See View and edit template versions.
  • Create a template from scratch using the components available in the Components Library. Edit the content and features to suit your needs, and save the template to the workspace’s My Templates page.

Note: Any templates that are saved to a workspace’s My Templates page in the Rich Message Studio are available for applying to a ‘classic’ message. The ready-made templates in the Template Library, however, can’t be applied to a ‘classic’ message.

See Create a new rich template from scratch and Create a new rich template from an existing one.

Options for creating and sending a message

  • Create a new message by:
    1. Selecting either a ready-made template from the Template Library or a template that has been saved to the workspace’s My Templates page
    2. Editing the content in the template’s components to suit your needs
    3. Setting the features you need.

and then add the recipients and send the message.

  • Create a new message from scratch using the components available in the Components Library, and then send it.

See Create a new rich message.

Saving template components

  • Edit any component in a message or template to suit your needs and then save the component to the My Saved Components section of the Components Library. (The library is available only when you’re at the Edit step in the message or template creation process.)

See Use the rich message/template components.
