About Contact Mapping Rules

Whispir's contact mapping feature allows new contacts to be automatically mapped to another workspace based on a rule. It’s particularly useful when contacts are imported into Whispir in bulk.

Contact mapping rules work for all three methods that can be used to add new contacts:

  • A user creates one new contact in a workspace
  • A user imports new contacts in bulk into a workspace via a .CSV file
  • Your company imports new contacts in bulk into a workspace via the Contact API module.

Whenever a new contact meets the criteria specified in any rule it’s automatically mapped to the workspace nominated in that rule. Rules are also applied whenever an existing contact’s details are updated.

Note: Once a contact is mapped, any time their details are updated in any workspace the changes are applied to all mapped workspaces.
