About events
Events can be anything that runs for a defined time period and so will have a start date and eventually an end date. For example, a media launch, a network outage or an incident. The Events module captures information specific to an event so the information can be used in as part of messaging for the duration of the event.
The Events module can be customised to accept events and associated information from external systems or to capture more complex information around an event.
